Review of Big Bang Fair South East 2017

The Big Bang Fair South East has grown! For the fourth year we headed to the South of England Showground about 10 miles out of Crawley, and more than 8,900 students and teachers joined us!

The Big Bang Fair South East was held on Wednesday 28th June 2017, and included 260 workshops, activities and shows provided by employers, professional bodies, educational organisations and top STEM deliverers from across the UK. Exhibition floors were filled with interactive stands giving students the opportunity to meet professionals from industry and academia, giving them an insight into careers in STEM.

View our video from the 2017 event or check out some of the activities that were there.

Last time there was a waiting list, so we encourage schools to register online early. Registration for 2018 is open here. Due to the ongoing success of the event, the Big Bang Fair South East will now be held over two days – Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th June 2018.

Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Competition

The Big Bang Competition is a celebration of the achievements of young people in every STEM area. It showcases and rewards the best student projects and is open to all 11-18 year-olds who are in education.

Whether you want to officially enter the competition, or just want to bring some work to showcase what you’ve been doing, we’d really encourage it. Students find it such a rewarding experience, talking to interested and knowledgable people about their project work.
